So we have now seen his Renal Doc and Urologist since his hosptial stay and both were happy with how he is doing. When we left the hospital we were to get his blood drawn once a week and having them fax over the results......what they are looking for is......
Creatine: this can tell you what his kidney's are functioning at
Sodium and Potassium: these levels need to be low, so his kidneys can function easier
Each time we did blood in the hospital, the results came to us in like an hour and we were truly basing his everything on his creatine level.....a normal baby is at .4-.6! So when we did his blood work here they are not as in much of a hurry to get us the results, so we were waiting hours and hours. The last time we did blood work his levels were good....creatine coming in at .5
Now we are on a once a month blood draw. I will take Jack in a couple weeks to get a sonogram done and then we go Feb 18th for a test called a VCUG, this will shoot die inside Jack and they can determine how his reflux is and how his bladder is contracting! So lots of stuff coming up, but Jack is doing so well so we couldnt be happier!!!
